Top Resource: 100 Best Websites for Writers in 2014 from The Write Life

Do you think of yourself as a writer?
Some bloggers do.
They love words, and if they weren’t blogging, they’d be writing something else.
Some bloggers don’t.
They see themselves as entrepreneurs, and writing is just part of the job.
I don’t think it matters too much whether you call yourself a “writer”.
The truth is, every blogger is a writer, at least some of the time! At the very least, you’re writing posts for your blog … and you’re probably also writing some other content, like email newsletters, sales pages, guest posts, or even ebooks.
It’s split into handy categories, including blogging, business and career, copywriting, creativity and craft, freelancing, literary agents, marketing, publishing, travel writing, writing advice, and writing communities.
Obviously not every single category will be relevant to bloggers, but you’re sure to find at least a few new sites to check out here.
Carrie Smith, who created the list, has written a paragraph about each website, and given a link to a recommended post for each one. I really like this — it makes it easy to figure out which sites might suit you, and it gives you a quick way to check out some representative content.
There’s nothing negative I can say about this resource (except that they didn’t include Daily Blog Tips, but our sister blog Daily Writing Tips is on there). 😉
So, whether you’re looking to find some new blogs to follow, to join a writing community, or even to branch out into a new area of writing, there’s bound to be something for you here. Check out The 100 Best Websites for Writers in 2014 … and drop a comment below to tell us what you discover.

Thanks Heather! It’s a fantastic list (and I don’t just say that because you have my site Aliventures on there ;-)).
Abdul, thanks for the lovely vote of confidence!
I love reading.
I love learning.
I love sharing.
I love teaching.
And I love Writing.
I prefer some media to others
And some environments I find more relaxing
So, just give me the right Conditions
And watch ideas flow into paper.
I am going to speak my mind, and I am not going to be bias.
So far, I have checked out many websites about writing, but the websites that have easy-to-understand content are Daily Blog Tips and Daily Writing Tips, at least in my opinion.
That is why I read every new articles published on these two sites. Problogger is also a nice blog, but it doesn’t have the attraction that this blog has.
Anyways, the list of the websites is great, and I will check out each site to see if it is better than Daily Blog Tips. 🙂

Thanks for sharing our list, Ali! We had fun putting it together — there are so many great sites out there for writers and bloggers!
We definitely missed a couple of big ones, though; readers have pointed out many more great resources in the comments. We’ll work on including Daily Blog Tips next year 🙂
