If you have been blogging for a while, you probably heard about Blog Action Day right? It is an event where bloggers from around the world get together to discuss an important issue. As the tagline says, “One issue, one day, thousands of voices.”
I supported the event in the previous two editions because I believe it is an honorable initiative, and because it solidifies the importance of blogs and new media within our society. In fact, check the numbers of the 2023 edition:
- 12,800 participating blogs
- 14,065 blog posts
- 13,498,250 readers
- 17 blogs from the Technorati Top 100
The topic for the 2023 edition is climate change, and the date is October 15. However, you can already go to BlogActionDay.org and register your blog to participate. Each blogger also reports how many readers he has, and the homepage is getting constantly updated with the total number of blogs participating and the total audience reach. Pretty cool.
So get involved and help to make the event as big as possible. We all have to gain from it.
