Our Verdict

Kaspersky is a proven leader in the antivirus arena, still providing its users with top protection against malicious attacks.

This Kaspersky Antivirus review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning what I like and what I wish was better.

  • Real-time protection makes it, so you never have to worry about running scans yourself.
  • Performs well on computers and doesn't slow down devices.
  • Kaspersky's VPN is incredibly fast.
  • Trusted password manager that is easy to use and access.

  • Great features like Password Manager are only included in the upgraded version.

Kaspersky Antivirus has been a top antivirus product for over two decades.

Why is Kaspersky still known for providing high-quality antivirus?

My Kaspersky Antivirus review will answer this question, and go in-depth on what this antivirus offers.

You likely want your antivirus to be jam-packed with features that protect your devices. Kaspersky Antivirus has everything you would expect from a modern antivirus, and more.

Real-time protection, performance optimization, and VPN are features you will find at just the base package of Kaspersky Antivirus.

I found there to be a ton of details packed within this one antivirus, so take a look at my review to find out what makes Kaspersky so unique.

What is Kaspersky Antivirus?

Kaspersky Antivirus prevents your devices from being susceptible to malware, ransomware, and phishing attempts.

It also keeps your information safe, protecting your identity against malicious websites or sneaky advertisers.

Cloud Protection

The concept of the "cloud" has been trending in the tech world over the past decade. Essentially, the cloud is a network of information that is easily accessed.

Companies and users use the cloud to share, send, and store data with the click of a button.

Kaspersky Antivirus uses its cloud to improve its performance.

Users of the antivirus send information about the harmful websites they visit, and the applications they download to the cloud in real-time. This enhances the antivirus's ability to detect and stop threats.

Real-time Protection

Nowadays, I rarely have the time to think about how my antivirus is protecting my computer.

That's why I loved testing out Kaspersky's Antivirus real-time protection. Without having to run any scans myself, this antivirus did a great job intercepting threats.

Kaspersky's real-time protection detects malware, ransomware, and phishing attempts, covering all of your bases while working on your computer.

It also detects around 90% of malicious files on your computer, so I never had to stress if it was doing its job.

Password Manager

Having a capable password manager is essential for a few reasons. We all know that losing your password is incredibly annoying.

A password manager keeps all your passwords in a safe and accessible location.

Even more important than remembering your passwords, is having strong, secure passwords.

Kaspersky's password manager helps you create a password that will keep hackers from guessing yours. I found having this feature combined with my antivirus, to be convenient.

Safe Browsing (VPN)

Owning a VPN (a virtual private network) has become an essential tool for protecting yourself online. A VPN will connect you to a separate online location to keep your connection anonymous.

Kaspersky's VPN is powered by Anchorfree, a popular antivirus that is known for its power and speed.

I'm always working on the go, bringing my devices to coffee shops and offices. I found Kaspersky's VPN to be very helpful for working on public wi-fi networks.

How Much Does it Cost?

Kaspersky offers three different packages for their line of antiviruses.

Every package upgrade will provide you with more protection, and allow you to add more devices to your license.

The base package in the Kaspersky antivirus line is Kaspersky Anti-Virus.

This package gives you all the necessary features you need to protect up to three PCs.

It costs $29.99/year, a %50 discount from its original price.

The first upgrade is the Kaspersky Internet Security package. On top of the base package features, you will also receive protection against phishing and webcam hacking and protection on online transactions.

It costs $39.99/year.

The final upgrade comes in the form of Kaspersky Total Security.

This upgrade adds on a ton of features, including a password manager, file protection, and content blockers that make the web safer for your children.

This upgrade will cost you $49.99/year.

Kaspersky Antivirus is an ideal choice for those who are looking for a reliable and robust antivirus.

Kaspersky has been a household name of antiviruses for over 20 years for a reason.

It does what it's supposed to do while never slowing down your device.

For the working person who has a busy schedule, this antivirus is excellent.

It also helps large companies ensure that their antivirus will protect their computers and the information stored inside them.

Final Thoughts

Kaspersky is a legend in the antivirus arena, but it hasn't fallen behind its competitors.

You can still rely on Kaspersky to protect your devices against the myriad of malicious threats that will come your way.

Kaspersky's real-time protection is great because it allows the antivirus to work in the background while you go about your day.

Although, if you can, run regular scans manually.

Kaspersky's Password Management is a fantastic tool for keeping all of your passwords in a safe and manageable place.

But my favorite part of the tool was its ability to create strong passwords.

If you work on your devices and need an antivirus that is trustworthy and efficient, this is a great choice.

If you own a company that needs to protect its information and network, there aren't many better options.
