As for links, I sell them on one blog, which was pr2, and still pr2, so if you sell links moderately, it will not influence noticeably

I was just searching some tools for predected page rank but it was very discouraging.
You may seen there are some tools available to check the pr.
These tools are basically set to measure only a few variables while as google measures are several times sophisticated. NO tool can tell you exact prediction even there are some websites tools which show very high or very low results.One you mentioned is showing pr10 is just set to display that while some of them are set to display zero. If you want to see reliability of the tool just check their own site for pr or some known site and you will see how the trend is set by so called tool masters.(say I have given subject for article on the issue)

Google had not made the criteria public. It updates after 3 to 4 months.

Google has updated its PR in December 2009, and I saw my website PR has been Increased but my friend website PR has not been increased and he was also doing link building for his website…can any body tell me how can its possible.

Google does not update pageranks like before every 3 months considering the last update was 4 months ago,now generally updates individual sites, to be honest no one knows whats going on with pagerank update anymore

Google PR Update: Here We Go Again! & Again

Google are saying don’t pay for back-links and they ask you to report if you know of any site that do. I think I will report every one at yahoo directory as most part with big bucks for that same reason. They make up the rules as they go along. Idiots!

yes you are right there was an update in late july,but i think it was for some new sites only,becoz searched a lot and cant find anything about july update.May be no one has noticed,but i have seen it,a pr 0 site goes to pr 2.

My backlink for lazymovie has definitely gone down. what’s up with google? My PR also went down from 5 to 4.. Really not that big of a deal but its just kindda disappointing in my part… hmmm…

My backlinks shown by Google using link:domain.com has definitely gone up, its now shoing 287, whereas last week it only showed 214. Another site I started the week after the last PR update also has around 90 links in Google. So a link: update has definitely been released. No doubt about it. I haven’t seen any PR changes, though.

Well, we can all but try and I definitely will for the next new update. When it was happening I was checking a few of my sites on the datacenter and all were showing up with zero. Then, like you I went and checked a few other established blogs and sites and they too were showing up as zero. Wondering if google were purposely blocking the datacenters revealing pr.
