Point 8 is particularly important for a business blog and is one of the distinguishing characteristics between business blogging and personal blogging (although I would say having this attitude for non-business blogs isn’t a bad idea).

It’s traditional advice to keep your politics and opinions out of business, but it depends on what business you’re in. Here in Vermont, USA, there are a lot of organic farmers and the issues around food production and consumption and politics and business all bleed together.

Personal opinions in blogs? You betcha! Blazing activism, is more like it. And it’s good for business, because they know who they’re trying to attract. Most businesses, however, should take the approach you suggest.
